WELCOME!
Dear Friends
Both venues of the Solidarity Village (Conway Hall & Clement
House) have each developed their own coherent programme with themes
ranging from Earth and Land issues to Human Rights, The Commons,
Monetary Reform, and New Forms of Democracy. Conway Hall is being
set up on Wednesday from 6pm with an opening circle at 8pm. Conway
Hall hosts the first Registration day of the Official ESF: Thursday
14th October 10am-10pm where you can get your free tube tickets
as well as pick up our own printed programme and pre-register for
popular workshops. Set-up at Clement House is from 6pm on Friday
night. We host meetings of the Network of Local Social Forums in
Conway Hall on Friday and at Clement House on Saturday. On Friday
night Iraq is the theme: with the LSE Debate, and a "No Sweat"
Benefit Gig at Conway Hall for Iraqui trade unions and women's organisations
featuring comedian Mark Thomas and street musicians from the Basque
country. Visit the Land Cafe and the Well-being Centre wherever
you are in London! Entry by donation! Follow links to our poster,
programme, map, publicity, and full details on how to participate
at: www.solidarityvillage.org
Solidarity Village is an autonomous space at the European Social
Forum 2004. It is a joint project of Letslink London and London
Social Forum with input and assistance from many other individuals
and organisations.
