The Open Co-operative


Dr Gary Alexander introduces the Open Co-operative, a new social enterprise set-up to build a worldwide community of individuals and organisations committed to creating a sustainable collaborative economy.

The Open Co-op is setting up a network of "Community Support Providers" to pull together existing sustainable enterprises, community action groups, co-ops and individuals into a new framework of mutual support and transparent ethical trade.

Gary Alexander is a founding member of the Open Co-op, Senior Lecturer in Information and Communication Technologies at The Open University and author of the book eGaia: building a peaceful sustainable world through communications.
