"Campaign Against Depleted Uranium"
We are a peace organisation in Manchester who work against
depleted uranium. Why we need to ban depleted uranium weapons
(the weapons only the US and Britian dare use). Explanation:
Earlier this year the International Coalition to Ban Uranium
Weapons (ICBUW) was officially established in Brussels. With
an aim to establish a draft convention (written by international
legal experts) as a United Nations Treaty, in the model of the
Land Mines Treaty, it will out law all use of uranium weapons.
ICBUW now has a membership of over 60 organisations from 30
countries and is concentrating on increasing its public profile,
which is why we consider the workshop important. Several international
members will be flying in to run the workshop.
