As part of the ESF Solidarity Village at the LSE, the Centre for the study of Global Governance will host a Debate on Iraq, Democracy and Global Civil Society on Friday, 15 October, 6.00pm Hong Kong Theatre, Clement House, LSE. Speakers will include professor of global governance Mary Kaldor, editor of Red Pepper, Hilary Wainwright, and Iraq specialist Yahia Said, with lecturer and researcher Marlies Glasius chairing.The new Global Civil Society Yearbook 2004/5, which explores the implications of the war on Iraq, will be launched at this event.
